Clinical Staff

  Beth Mazzagatti, R.N., B.S.N.
Beth Mazzagatti is a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She attended Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1999. Beth joined the Fertility Center at Crozer that same year and in 2000 was promoted to IVF Coordinator, providing individualized patient care throughout the duration of the in vitro fertilization cycle. In addition to duties such as patient education, cycle monitoring and scheduling, Beth is personally available to address patient concerns and questions through our telephone triage system. Her dedication to customer service is exemplified by her meticulous coordination of clinical and laboratory related events. In 2003, Beth accepted the position of PGD site coordinator, organizing the clinical and laboratory aspects of this very specialized IVF procedure.

In striving to provide the highest quality of care as a Reproductive Health Specialist, Beth has attended multiple national society meetings, oocyte donor symposia and postgraduate education courses. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Nurses in Reproductive Medicine Professional Group and the Philadelphia Area Reproductive Endocrinology Nurse Specialists.


Stephanie Libro, R.N., B.S.N
Stephanie Libro joined the Fertility Center in November of 2002 as the Surgical Coordinator for the Fertility Center. Stephanie attended the University of Delaware, where she was granted her R.N., B.S.N in 2000. Although she commenced her career in Psychiatric Care, Stephanie has enthusiastically embraced the challenges and opportunities that a career as a Reproductive Endocrine Nurse can offer. She is a long-time resident of the tri-state area and has made a commitment to providing quality healthcare to the populace in this region.

Since joining us in 2002, Stephanie has refined her skills as a Reproductive Health Specialist by attending several national society meetings and post-graduate courses. She too is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Nurses in Reproductive Medicine Professional Group and the Philadelphia Area Reproductive Endocrinology Nurse Specialists

 


Laboratory Staff

Charlene A. Alouf, Ph.D.
Dr. Alouf joined the Fertility Center at Crozer in April, 2001 as the Director of the Fertility Center Laboratory. Previously she held a similar position at Albany Medical College, Albany, New York; the institution which granted her Doctoral degree in Reproductive Endocrinology in 1995. During her tenure in Albany, Dr. Alouf participated in the New York State Task Force on Assisted Reproductive Technology, the mission of which was to protect the rights of patients seeking treatment for infertility. New York State was the first state to initiate mandates designed to regulate programs offering infertility treatment. Dr. Alouf received her board certification in 1997. In addition to directing a busy clinical laboratory, Dr. Alouf is responsible for directing the Fertility Center research laboratory. Her research endeavors, in collaboration with other internationally recognized researchers, concentrate on the ovarian response to hormone therapy during an assisted reproductive cycle. This multi-center, interdisciplinary approach towards the reproductive process may assist in providing improved therapy for the infertility patient. Dr. Alouf is a visiting scientist at the New York State Department of Health.

In maintaining her Board Certification, Dr. Alouf has attended many national society meetings, and post-graduate courses related to blastocyst culture, micromanipulation and PGD, human genetics and molecular preimplantation development. She is the head of the PGD laboratory team at Crozer, a specialized IVF program instituted in 2003. Recently she has been elected the President of the Delaware Valley Reproductive Biology Group, a tri-state affiliation of Embryologists and Physicians. Dr. Alouf is a peer-reviewer for the National Medical Association and is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, The College of Reproductive Biology, the American Association of Bioanalysts and Alpha, Scientists in Reproductive Medicine.

Whether you need to schedule a return visit, require a pre-certification for surgery or need financial counseling for assisted reproductive services our courteous staff is available to assist. Our highly trained billing staff spends many days per year in courses provided by the Crozer Keystone Health Network. They continually are challenged to expand their knowledge and qualifications to provide you with the most comprehensive billing knowledge available.
